I've built a homemade QFH and tested this morning with first Meteor image. Previous V-dipole only obtained image from directly over my house and south. Now with the QFH, I am getting an image slightly north of my location (see below) but still just mostly south of my location (PA).
Can anyone explain why I'm not obtaining images north of my marked location??

Re: Meteor Image
Antenna location and sky view? Is a neighbors house or something like that blocking the antenna's view to the north?
Re: Meteor Image
Nothing. I have the antenna about 12 feet above the ground with closest building (my house) about 400 yards away. Antenna is basically in a field with no trees around for at least 600 yards.
Re: Meteor Image
Try rotating the QFH by 180°.
That should tell you if there is a problem with the antenna itself. If your image then goes to being mostly north instead of mostly south, then you'll know that there is a problem with the antenna.

Re: Meteor Image
Very smart yet simple idea! Thanks, I will give it a try.
