RTL-SDR Stops working

My RTL-SDR has suddenly stopped working. I have noticed when I unplug it then plug it back in it will work for about 1 second then suddenly stop. Not sure what is causing this. Anyone else have the same issue or know a possible cause?

Bad cable?
Bad joint on USB plug?

Eliminate USB cables, hubs etc. Try different USB ports.

If at all possible, confirm that the dongle works on another PC.
