Hi,
I'm trying to install a RTL-SDR dongle v.3 on a raspberry pi 4.
I followed the quick start guide on rtl-sdr website but the final test fails:
rtl_test
Found 1 device(s):
0: Realtek, RTL2838UHIDIR, SN: 00000001
Using device 0: Generic RTL2832U OEM
usb_claim_interface error -6
Failed to open rtlsdr device #0.
The blacklist file missing is a common reply I've found and here it my folder and file.
/etc/modprobe.d $ ls
blacklist-8192cu.conf blacklist-rtl.conf raspi-blacklist.conf
blacklist-rtl8xxxu.conf libhackrf0.conf
/etc/modprobe.d $ sudo cat blacklist-rtl.conf
blacklist dvb_usb_rtl28xxu
Also, I tried the dongle on windows 10 and got it to work perfectly.
Could it be that my power supply doesn't provide enough current, it's a 3A...
Does anyone experience the same issue and could anyone please help me?
Best regards.
Romain

That error usually means that some other program is using the RTL-SDR. Is it a fresh install?
Can you also try other ports on the Pi4? Sometimes some ports on the Pi are a little finnicky.
