Nothing I could do on a 64 bit laptop would launch the 64 bit version.
I finally reverted back to an earlier 32 bit version, runs fine.

Yes, I have ......

That's the version that keeps hanging and eventually just crashes.

Even when I thought it was working OK I was looking at a NOAA pass and was a bit puzzled by the zero decode and the pulsing waterfall display ........ so I shut it down and went back to the old SDR version ...... and got the tail end of a decent pass.

So in short it doesn't work!

The only version I can get to work so far is the 1181 that I mentioned before.

HELP!

As John Lennon and Paul McC once said (giving my vintage away there).

I thought it was the 64-bit version you had that was crashing? What about the 64-bit version then, does that work?

Some things that you could try:

1) Repair/reinstall .NET and the VC runtimes
2) Double check that the folder you've installed to is writable
3) Disable antivirus software that could be interfering with it

Hi,

Just to clarify:

The 64 bit version crashes, it actually fails to run and gives the same crash dump as the original poster.
The 32 bit version (1574) runs but often hangs for a good few seconds when I click on anything and regularly crashes.
The very old 32 bit version (1181) runs fine but is too old to take most plugins.

I'll try your suggestions tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks again.

Hmm I guess you'd need to ask the dev about it then. Seems like a bug a small number of users are having, but I personally have never experienced it on any of my machines.

There are SDRsharp Yahoo forums here https://uk.groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/sdrsharp/info.
