SpyServer device selector

Post by tim_rtd » Sun Jul 30, 2017 11:05 pm

I've recently been experimenting with spyserver having been a long term rtl_tcp user.
In the spyserver config file there is a device ser# setting to be used as a device selector if you have more than one unit.
The comment says to enter ser # in hex. I have accurately converted ser # 103 to 0x67 and used 67 as the ser # in the setting. Does not seem to work. Using 0 for the first unit works, and I have a second instance of spyserver running and am successfully using Ser # 1....it works too, but suspect spyserver is just using the next available unit. I'm using rtl dongle for this and am wondering if a true ser # entry as a selector is only for the airspy units ?

I asked the SDR# dev, he said "He did it right for 0 and 1 when he didn't prepend "0x"
