Hi,
a my friend is trying his new baofeng some km from my home, i'm able to detect it in GQRX but i'm unable to listen it talking...
What's the way to decode and listen the baofeng Tx audio signal?

Re: Baofeng signal
You have the filter width set way to large. Narrow it down to the same width as the actual signal.
Also the mode is set to WFM, change that to narrow FM.

Re: Baofeng signal
Thanks a lot guys!
I'm from Sardegna (Italy) and yesterday i was able to listen some Spanish people from Spain!
The signal from a friend at 2Km from me, was very weak but the signal from Spain was very strong!
That's the result of the atmosphere?
Green Spain
Red 2km from my antenna with a baofeng tx
the noise on the left should be ORBCOMM signal, i got the same in the NOAA range

Re: Baofeng signal
The other signal might be coming from a powerful repeater, which has transmit strength many times higher than what the baofeng can put out.
