Trouble Directly Polling From RTL2832U R820T2

Post by mylestremick » Thu Oct 11, 2018 4:46 pm

I am currently doing a project where I have to poll data directly from my RTL2832U using a microcontroller. I'm trying to set up the RTL by accessing the SCL and SDA pins, and poll the data from the IF_N and IF_P pins. I am wondering if there is an easy way to access these pins on the board? If I cannot access the IF_N and IF_P pins, could I poll the USB connection after setting up the registers?

For reference, I am trying to poll a signal at 578MHz.

So to clarify you want to access the IF signal coming out of the R820T2, and sample it with the ADC on your own microcontroller?

On the V3 the IF pins are exposed just above the RTL2832U chip. The I2C pins are also exposed on the breakout pinholes on the bottom.
