Bias-T on KerberosSDR?

Post by Stromeko » Sun Jun 16, 2019 11:10 am

Does the KerberosSDR have a Bias-T like the V3 dongle? If so, are these independently available on all antenna ports?

There is no bias tee on the current version of KerberosSDR. We tried to include it on the design, but unfortunately it coupled in a lot of board noise, so the circuit would need to be redesigned to prevent this problem.

OK, so are the antenna inputs decoupled or do I need to protect them from DC on the coax?

Just asking, I guess I'll go for an LNA (or rather four of them) that has an external bias input and feed the power to the LNA via a separate line.

There is an ESD diode on the input, so best to decouple voltage from the input, otherwise the ESD diode could activate.
