Debugging a single SDR

Post by stasia327 » Fri Jul 12, 2019 9:06 pm

I've been posting in another topic but I realized this was a brand new topic.

As I had gotten the Kerberos to work for awhile after realizing it hung for awhile trying to read data from all 4 tuners I finally got a:

Code: Select all

Found 3 device(s):
  0:  , , SN:
  1:  , , SN:
  2:  , , SN:
So now it no longer recognizes one of the SDR's even if all four are on. I've gotten this result on both my ubuntu vm and my raspberry pi.

I know the output above doesn't show the device info (now sure why it didn't all of a sudden) but when I tested it on my raspberry pi it was the second SDR that's no longer being able to connect.

Do you have any ideas on how to debug just a single SDR on there kerberos?

The reading of the 3 devices looks strange too. It should display a SN and name.

Can you try seeing if one unit at a time works? Did anything else in your setup change?

Not really. It comes back on on the pi as so:

Code: Select all

Found 3 device(s):
  0:  Generic, RTL2832U, SN: 77771111153705700
  1:  RTL_SDR, KerberosSDR, SN: 003
  2:  RTL_SDR, KerberosSDR, SN: 004
It happened out of nowhere. It just stopped connecting all of a sudden. I know it's powered on. I'm wondering how to find the issue on that one single sdr.

And each one is detected except for the second one when I test each unit - which reflects in the above output as well.

Did you edit the EEPROMs recently? Maybe the fourth EEPROM was corrupted?
