SDR radio kits to assemble?

Post by hotpaw2 » Sun Jul 14, 2019 4:12 pm

Are there any electronics kits available, requiring assembly from schematics, PCB(s) and components, for SDR experimentation? Or do all the surface-mount components required make this too difficult?

There's various ham radio SDR kits, like the Softrock, mcHF etc

One interesting one might be the Hermes Lite II http://www.hermeslite.com/. You'd probably need to purchase your own parts, or wait for a group buy though.

SMT isn't too hard to hand solder if you have steady hands.
