Boxx Antenna?

Post by LTCSZ » Tue Aug 20, 2019 8:33 pm

A neighbor is gradually cleaning out his late father's garage and has given me several items. One is this antenna. I have tried to Google "Boxx" with no luck. Can someone help me out and identify just what this antenna is usable for? All three elements extend and the two left and right antennas can be moved in different orientations. Also, there is a small toggle switch on the top. No idea what this is for! Any help appreciated!

It's not immediately obvious. Probably the two outer arms are connected together and the middle is the driven connected together the centre of the feed.

It look alike the lid is removable, can you take some internal photos, or measure the resistance between each antenna arm and the centre and out could nnection of the coax?

Looks like with the switch you can flip it between a monopole (top element), and a dipole (the two horizontal elements)
