two micro-USB ports, no USB-C...?

Post by cloudnein » Wed Sep 11, 2019 1:34 am

On the site there's mention/photos of a USB-C port for power, but a board I just received today from Indiegogo has two USB micro-B ports. No big deal, just curious about the inconsistency. I'm assuming this is a later revision board...?

Ah, looks like this is indeed the second rev of the board, yay progress!

The picture does bring up the question on the dip switches

Does down mean 'enabled' or better ON for the sdr ?

Yep we had to degrade back to microUSB as there was too much confusion over the USB-C power port. Works just the same though.

ON is down (labelled with ON and a down arrow)

It also looks like the EEPROM is now pre-programmed. I got the following result when running rtl_test straight out of the box:

Found 4 device(s):
0: RTL-SDR, KerberosSDR, SN: 001
1: RTL-SDR, KerberosSDR, SN: 002
2: RTL-SDR, KerberosSDR, SN: 003
3: RTL-SDR, KerberosSDR, SN: 004

Yeah we've added an EEPROM programming step to the QC procedure now.
