Schedules ?

Post by N2NXZ » Thu Oct 10, 2019 1:19 pm

I have radios / antennas that cover all band all mode for these weather balloon transmitters should they be in range of my area, but how do I know when they are launching them?
Is there a website that posts upcoming flights so I can start tracking?
Or is this a 24/7 sort of thing where I leave my radio on specific frequency all the time?
I will guess it must be an attended sort of thing where I would need to be physically at my radio.

It varies/depends on the weather services in your area, if, when and how often they launch weather ballons that transmitt weather data. Have you tried asking them politely and they may tell you (or choose not to)?

Or you can do search and maybe find the information for your area Adelaide e.g. here https://www.areg.org.au/archives/209471
