I spent a few hours yesterday converting a channel 13 TV antenna for use at 260 mHz. It was fairly easy to shorten the parasitic elements, as I used a pipe cutter to reduce their lengths to 0.82 of their original measurements. The driven element was a bit more challenging, seeing as it was a folded dipole, but some tubing that was a snug fit over the original made for a secure splice, both electrically and mechanically.
