KerberosSDR Architecture

Is there a block diagram showing what the KerberosSDR hardware does? Is it similar to this "entry-level" coherent receiver? Their feature set is very similar.

Yes coherent-receiver and KerberosSDR are very similar. In fact with minor modifications coherent-receiver could probably be used on the KSDR server software.

KerberosSDR is our attempt at getting coherent RTL-SDR cheaper and more accessible by using some profits to develop coherent software.

KerberosSDR is very simple block-wise. We don't have a diagram up yet, but you can see it below in text:

Code: Select all

Antenna Input -> Calibration Board -> 4 RTL-SDRs on a USB hub connected to a single clock -> PC
                         |
                   Noise Source
Activating the noise source distributes noise equally into 4 RTL-SDRs via the calibration board directional couplers. This allows us to achieve sample and phase syncrhonization amongst the 4 RTL-SDRs, thus enabling coherent applications.
