'the Buzzer' with an unusual issue

Post by JEL » Fri Jan 03, 2020 10:25 am

I have never ever heard the Russian 'the buzzer' do anything but buzz, until tonight :)

It began pitching its tone all over the place and basically sounded like it had fallen completely apart.

It is probably just a technical glitch at the Russian military broadcast-center (Or whoever/whereever is broadcasting this thing), but it happened just as the news broke about the US attack on Qassem Soleimani near Baghdad, so who knows.

I got some video of the last half part of the incident.
It's obviously not a super-exciting video unless you're into this kind of scanning of the peculiar things on the bands :)
There is some more text and links on the info-section on the youtube-page itself (A link to a BBC story about this radio-station and some other things)

I personally find it fascinating because this station is one of the 'faithfuls' on the bands, meaning; it's ALWAYS there and ALWAYS sound the same... day in day out... except for a good 15 minutes or so tonight :)

I don't know its broadcast-location.
I only know several websites mention it's from Russia.
