Latest Pics. This is all now working. The compass is only using 4 points at the moment 0-90 = 0 degrees, 91-180 = 90 degrees, 181-270 = 180 degrees. I will code the rest of the logic later today to show a finer resolution. I have created 36 images and therefore the compass will show to an accuracy of 10 degrees. I may do a 5 degree version at some point. By using separate images, there is no flicker on the screen.

A few more pics showing the full 10 degree pointer in action. The fist 2 pics showing the random noise floor activity. Then pic 3 showing a carrier being detected from a handheld along with the DOA, confidence level & Sig strength. Note that I populate the Bearing value with a rounded DOA.

I suppose I could use the confidence level to hide the random bearings. i.e. If confidence level > 10 show DOA & bearing other wise leave it at 0.

Umm! Can't upload the Python script at the moment because the forum is blocking it. I will upload to GitHub in due course.

Below is an image of the code. Not too many lines to type out.

This needs to be copied to the /home/pi/kerberossdr/_webDisplay location.

Call it what ever you want .py

Then run in a terminal window on the RPi. Note python and not python3.

e.g. python ExportToNextion.py

This will output to the content from the /ram/DOA_value.html file to the screen and send the output via the serial for the Nextion.

If anyone wants the .HMI or .TFT files [Nextion files] let me know and I can make these available.

I have put a small video together using my iPhone but this is some 76MB in size. (38 seconds). I will see if I can find a video converter to reduce the size of the .MOV file. Any recommendations? In the video, I pan between the Nextion and the RPi then I key up (435.000 mhz) and you can see the target bearing.
