Connectors

Quote.

"BATCH 2 CHANGES: Note that due to too many people having issues finding USB-C supplies that work, batch 2 reverts to microUSB on the power port."

Please, please could the next batch (batch 3) be USB-C & USB-C only. Or do 2 versions in the short term.

The USB-3 connections seem to be much more reliable compared to microUSB.

Also, suggest the antenna connections to be on one panel and power plus the link (to the SBD) on another panel. A couple of LEDs would be nice. One to indicate power supplied (internal white light) and the other to indicate the boards have initialised (internal blue light).

Yep we definitely want to go full USB-C for the next version. We just had to temporarily revert to microUSB because we had many complaints about people buying USB-C PD ONLY power supplies and being unable to use them because they had special power delivery circuitry that requires a special circuit to activate, and our HW designer was unable to get that circuitry in without modifying the PCB and using buried vias that our CM was incapable of manufacturing.

We wanted to just use the USB-C connector since it is significantly more reliable, but it unfortunately led people down the wrong path thinking that they needed to buy specific USB-C only supplies.

But our intention was to just have people use a standard everyday 5V USB supply with USB-A socket, connected to a USB-A to USB-C cable.
