Kerberos Noisy?

Post by syzygy » Sat Mar 07, 2020 10:04 pm

I bought the KerberosSDR to just get 4 nicely built SDRs that I might someday use with coherence and I like supporting projects like this. I just started setting it up and immediately noticed bands of noise. I compared it another RTL SDR I have and its very significant. Am I missing something here?

There's a lot more going on on the PCB on a KerberosSDR so it's more difficult to keep noise free. There are expected to be some side effects from putting 4 on a board.

What's your LNA gain set to there? It looks like it's cranked all the way up

Ugh, didn't see emails about the replies here. That is the FM bands, those signals are extremely strong to have so much noise. I'm looking to receive AIS on one of them and they are much weaker signals. Any suggestions for getting anywhere close to a single RTL?
