Trouble connecting the v3 dongle

Post by ZL2BMH » Sat Sep 26, 2020 9:02 am

Hello All.

I am following, what appeared an easy way of downloading NOAA 15,18 and 19 satellites, off a video.

I am using rtl-sdr V3 Dongle, wxtoimg, SDR# and GPredict.
When I go into GPredict, after enabling the connector in SDR#, then click on Radio Controller to tie the two together I get a sign that says 'cannot connect', your radio needs configuring.

I have checked and rechecked SDR# v1732 I cannot find anything wrong.

I would appreciate any help given to me.

Many thanks,
Jim. PS: If I download, by-passing GPredict, I get a picture.

The SDR# plugin essentially emulates a hardware radio, which is what GPredict used to connect to. The dongle itself has nothing to do with Gpredict. I think the error you're getting is that GPredict isn't connecting properly to the SDR# plugin.

I'd suggest asking the plugin author to confirm if it is compatible with the latest versions of SDR#. It's possible that some recent changes to SDR# has broken that plugin's compatibility.
