Product/Shipping Support
If you have a general question about RTL-SDRs or SDRs or third party software we ask you to please ask in our forums. If you email us we may not respond to questions about third party software as this should be asked in the forum.
If you need troubleshooting support please first ensure that you have been through our Quickstart guide and the troubleshooting section on it, as well as our V3 users guide. Common questions like how to use the HF mode and how to activate the bias tee are explained on the V3 users guide.
If you have a question about shipping of an item please first read the shipping policy on our store and see if it answers your question. The shipping information is just under our product listings. If it is a request for tracking details please first check your old/deleted/spam mails for the order confirmation email which contains the tracking details. There will have been two emails from our email at [email protected], the second of which contains the tracking details.
If you suspect a lost postal item please contact your local postal agency first and inquire there. They have more information than we have. If they confirm it as lost or not received after a long time then please let us know and we can open an investigation on this side as well. Usually we must wait at least 6 weeks from the date posted before we can open a lost parcel investigation.
For everything else such as confirmed lost postal items, warranty claims and support inquiries that aren't covered by the quickstart or troubleshooting guide then please contact us at [email protected]. We aim to always reply within 1-2 business days. If we don't respond within 3 business days then the mail may have gone to our spam folder. Please try to email again using different keywords. We do check our spam filter once a week just in case, but some messages could still be missed. Remember, if you have questions about third party software, please ask in the forums only.
Greetings.
i have been searching for a guide to synchronize 2 RTLsdrv4 but couldn’t find
I’d need a short guide on how to do it (on hardware i mean).
Also i want to ask your opinion about connecting a pps signal to the sclk_in (for TDOA tests).
Please contact me on my email if you got detailed informations. THANKS !

Hi. I ordered an sdr from aliexpress and it’s been 5 days and it didn’t even shipped, is there a problem in China with shipping or what’s going on, should I cancel my order?it’s from your official seller. I also send a message but no reply.
Hi, Monday and Tuesday were public holidays in China, so during that time our warehouses were shut and so was the postal service. So for orders made this week, and orders made before the weekend there may be a delay of a few days. Apologies for the inconvenience.
So I placed the order on 13 Sept and today it’s 23 and the tracking shows mainland China. On aliexpress said fast delivery, that is fast, in 10 days didn’t even left china
Hi Andrei, checking the logs it was ordered on Friday past the processing cutoff time, and Saturday, Sunday were non-working days and Monday, Tuesday were public holidays. So it was packed and picked up on Wednesday and processed at the sorting hub on Thursday. Now it’s at the departure transport hub and probably with the airline now (usually there is no status update after this until it is unloaded at the destination airport). Unfortunately, we can’t control exactly how fast the delivery is but typically fast Aliexpress orders arrive within about ~2 weeks from the shipping date for most countries and today it’s only been 5 days since the shipping date.
Ok, thanks for the info, I’ll wait
What happened to my community plugins? been a month since i last use the sdrsharp, when I fired it up i didn’t have all the plug ins> i downloaded it again, and still don’t have everything.
SDR# won’t change or update by itself on your filesystem, so something may have deleted your plugin files. Maybe an overzealous antivirus program?
I bought from Aliexpress because they claim that it is your sales outlet in Asia. The name of the store is RTLSDRblog Store. After an hour it got warm and stopped walking. I’m sending him back. Unfortunately the original is a bit too expensive for me. But it was a lot of fun while it was running. I’ll save money so it will be available as an original for Christmas.
That is our store. If it is indeed faulty please email us at admin rtl-sdr.com with your order ID details and we will arrange for a free replacement. But we will ask you some brief troubleshooting steps in the email first as it could just be a software issue.
Hello,I order one RTLSDR v4 on aliexpress, and I try to contact the CS but no any reply
When will my order be ship?
On aliexpress we reply within 1-2 working days. Orders generally ship within 2-3 working days from purchase.
Hi I live in Santa Monica, CA but want to listen to CAL FIRE Grass Valley Emergency Command Center located in Nevada County. I have this product from this company on Amazon that I am thinking about buying: here The frequency is the NEU West/County of Placer, which borders Nevada County. 154.355 specifically is the frequency. Would any device from this company or the one I linked be able to get the transmissions that far from north to south of would that not be able to happen? If not what other SDR chip form another company would work? Does anybody know the best tutorial video for installation. Thanks!
Hi, already replied to your email, but it sounds like you are about 600 miles away from the transmitter. There’s no radio that can receive VHF that far away. Typically you’ll get 10-30 miles range, and if you’re very lucky up to 100 miles.
You would need to look into finding a streaming service that already has the station of interest covered, or setting up your own network streamed radio.
Hello, I’ve bought V4 dongle, followed instructions to the t and everything the instructions said worked eg driver installed successfully. when I open SDRSharp, under source it says ‘none’. I restarted pc (windows 10) and still says ‘none’. SDRSharp cannot see my dongle. Help please
Figured it out. TYVM
Hello,
What is the bias tee voltage on the v4? Can I attach the v4 directly to a mini whip antenna without the tee? normally the mini whip antenna requires 12V.
Bias tee voltage out = 4.5V to 5V. Some miniwhip designs can work down to 4.5V and do work with the RTL-SDR Blog V4’s bias tee, however it may come at the expense of less amplification.
Hello, I’ve bought V4 dongle, followed instructions to the t and everything the instructions said worked eg driver installed successfully. when I open SDRSharp, under source it says ‘none’. I restarted pc (windows 11) and still says ‘none’. SDRSharp cannot see my dongle. Help please.🙏
Make sure that the drivers are installed correctly via Zadig, and that the rtlsdr.dll file was downloaded in the SDR# folder. If it’s still not showing up email us at admin rtl-sdr.com.
By mistake, i have ordered 4 quantities of below item, but our actual requirement is 2 only. Kindly cancel 2 quantity.
RTL-SDR Blog V3 R860 (R820T2) RTL2832U 1PPM TCXO SMA Software Defined Radio (Dongle Only)
No problem I have just done that. In the future please make sure to email any order issues to admin rtl-sdr.com to make sure they are handled in time.
I followed all directions tried a few times. V4 does nothing but make noise. FM kind of works. AM gets one local station. I never had issue with the version 3. Also installed latest version of sdr#. deleted anything associated with the old sdr#. Guess i and many others got a bad dongle? I guess only thing to do is go back to the 3. That was actually fun. Got excited for nothing.
If you suspect a faulty dongle please email us with the details so we can arrange a replacement if necessary. Did you turn up the RF gain? Remember the V4 uses the tuner on HF, so the gain setting is relevant.
New user here:
Haven’t managed to get Airspy to run, have followed all the instructions for a V3 install, Zadig installation successful I think, try to run SDRSharp.exe and get the attached error.
Am running Windows 10 (version 10.0.14393on a Sony Vaio laptop.
Any help anyone can give would be very much appreciated.
Appears to be a plugin crash. If you are using the community edition of SDR# with plugins pre-installed, try the vanilla version instead. Otherwise, if SDR# simply refuses to work on your PC you can also try SDR++.
For AIS and ADS-B reception I have purchased a new AIS and ADS-B but it does not work properly.

Is the dongle set up correctly?
If there is a problem, please tell us how to set it up.
There’s no problem….don’t use the -t ….it’s for the E4000 dongle only.
I purchased a RTL-SDR V4 for a Mac (Monterrey OS) and try Gqrx without been able to listen to a FM radio: I bought that USB Key to listen to new Digital Radio (DAB):
Grqx identify my RTLSDR Blog Blog V4: Despite that, I am not able to listen to an FM regular radio nor to a DAB radio
Install Zadig v2.5 or higher, choose the menu item to show all devices, select the RTL device and make sure you install the WinUSB driver that Zadig offers for you to install.
I need simpler intructions. none of this works!
It doesn’t get much simpler than the guides on this site.
Hi have installed NTL433 plugin to my SDR#1919 and while plugin window opens ok I cannot start because only “wait” showing.
Any idea how to fix?
Over the past four months I’ve purchased five RTL-SDR BLOG V4 dongles. My idea was to continue adding to the pile, and then to gift all but two of them (one to be a spare as I’m aware these are a limited model) to my friends.
So I’ve put them all through some serious HF performance testing.
I’ve got five wire antennas — a 173 foot NREF (Non-Resonant End-Fed), a 71 foot NREF, plus 20, 40 and 80 meter half-wave dipoles.
I’ve got four radios — an Icom IC-7300, a Yaesu FTDX-10, an Icom IC-718 and a Yaesu FT-840. None of my radios are slouches and they represent a decent spread of design types — dual conversion super heterodyne, direct conversion SDR and of course the hybrid super heterodyne and SDR designs. I also have an AirSpy HF+ Discovery and a Collins 32S-1 transmitter.
My original goal was to use my FT-840, my IC-718 and my Collins 32S-1 as 100 watt transmitters/exciters, along side of the V4 as the receiver.
Over these months I’ve settled on HDSDR as my favorite SDR application as looks and works exactly like a ham radio. It has a stable, non-docking layout with keystroke shortcuts for ALL functions, large calibratable S-meter, squelch, customizable presets from a Frequency Manager, multiple one-click and fully automatic notch filtering, drag-and-drop bandwidth settings and rig control through OmniRig. It works perfectly with all four of my test radios.
All I can say is…WOW. I’m totally amazed, and I emphasize amazed with these SDRs. The are truly spectacular.
Now here comes the honest-to-God truth…the RTL-SDR BLOG V4 performs as well, and in some cases clearly better than any of my radios – flat out – period.
I have directly (but randomly) compared each of these V4’s with all antennas, against all of the four radios on all HF bands (on SSB only) and I am here to tell you [sadly I’ll admit] your SDR’s out performed them all, in all but one instance. And I don’t remember what that was because it was early in my less than than perfect and somewhat subjective testing.
The physical conditions were all the same – in my yard, in the middle of the Michaux State Forest in PA, along the Appalachian Trail, in a 3/4 acre clearing. The antennas are all below 37 feet, the 24/40 meter dipoles are only at 17 sloping down to 12 feet off the ground, the 173 foot NREF is at 37 sloping down to 22 feet and the 80 meter dipole is 34 sloping down to 12 feet high. So nothing special there.
There are few if any higher power AM broadcast stations nearby — only one at 1KW daytime only and one 5KW FM six or seven miles away.
In one case, with only one of the V4s, for some strange reason I was able to see and hear a ham talking to Europe easily at S4 to S5 (calibrated to match the IC-7300’s S-meter with my Rohde & Schwarz CMU200 Communications Test Set), with a noise floor at S3. The spectral display on HDSDR showed the 3.830 MHz signal at 10-12 dB over the noise floor – and get this, that same signal could not be heard nor did it even show up at all on either the DX-10 or the 7300 using the same bandwidth, preamp ON or OFF, and same antenna.
Clearly this V4 was different, and I can’t figure out why.
I repeated this testing over more than an hour, and substituted three of the other V4s and those two radios over and over, several times, using three antennas.
So all I gotta say is…well done.
And oh…one more thing…can you tell me why this one V4 is soooo much more sensitive than the other three?
Obviously I’m not going to gift this one away to anybody, ever.
I didn’t change anything when comparing these. I just stopped the HDSDR app, unplugged and plugged in the next one, and launched HDSDR. No values or ports or cables were different.
I am not a software engineer. I ONLY have a doctorate in music composition. I need much simpler intructions!
Two questions: purchased RTL-SDR blog v4. I’m would like to get an adapter to connect it to my USB-C port for use with Windows. Is it possible to use and adapter, and which one? I have seen several apps for running SDR software on an iOS Apple tablet, are these legitimate? I would need a similar adapter. Thanks.
For a PC can use any USB-A to USB-C extension cable.
For iOS it’s not possible to run the dongle directly on the device. You have to be running it on another networked device. Those iOS apps get the radio data over the network.
Thank you!
Good morning
Please advise how I can enable the SPF5189z LNA power supply via the LTR-SDT.COM V4 connecting cable?
Dzień dobry
Bardzo proszę o podpowiedź w jaki sposób mogę uruchomić zasilania LNA SPF5189z przez kabel łączący LTR-SDT.COM V4?
How to turn on the power supply via a direct connection or via a cable between LTR-SDT.COM V4 – SMA-F antenna connector => SMA-F OUT +5V LNA SPF5189z?
Hello, I am the developer of RForAll, an app for scanning and analyzing radio frequencies on MacOS. I always recommend the RTL SDR V3 dongle, and I would like to make my application natively compatible with the V4. Could you please contact me at my email [email protected]? A while ago, I sent an email to admin rtl-sdr.com but didn’t receive a response. I suppose you are very busy, but I need to ask them a few questions. Thank you.
I’ve downloaded the newest software for the V3 dongle and I don’t see a .bat file anywhere???
Just checked and the install-rtlsdr.bat file is there as expected in the SDR# zip file.
Hey there! Just dropped you an email about my RTL-SDR project. Excited to share and potentially feature on your blog. Let me know what you think
Just tried to install Zadig 2.8 driver on my new Win11. Using RTL2832UHIDIR. Installer times out. I will be using on HDSDR. HDSDR does not show the RTL-Dongle as an input option. The driver for Zadig is not installing.
Help….
Hello!
V4 works on Windows 10?
Have a link with drivers?
Thanks.
Hello, yes it works fine on Windows 10. Please follow the quickstart guide at https://www.rtl-sdr.com/QSG to see how to install the drivers and common software.
Hello.
I’ve been using my V3 dongle with a longwire antenna and a nooelec balun to listen to HF and shortwave broadcast with great success. I recently purchased the V4 dongle to take advantage of the built in upconverter but have been unable to make it work.
I have followed the quick start guide to the letter and have no clue what I’m missing. My V3 dongle still works just fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Can you tune any other frq using V4? For example commercial FM, if not, first replace .dll file from rtl-sdr github, and if you are using with V3 for V4 don’t use direct sampling mode option. If you are SDR# user try other programs like SDR++, HDSDR or SDRConsole
Make sure that you’re running the latest version of SDR#, have downloaded the drivers via install-rtlsdr.bat and that you are not using direct sampling mode.
There is a other option ,download from this website https://sdrchile.cl/en/
It is de sdrsharp with all plugins automaticly installed.
Tried it on my v3 and its working without any problems.
I use windows 10 64 bits with all updates installed.
Hi, I have used sdr eeprom (from sdr#) to change the product name with -p command. But now the sdr v4 don’t work correctly anymore, sdr# see the dongle but only noise no any radio station even on the commercial FM band. I already try to restore back the original string of the product but no solution. I think the sdr eeprom tool incluse in the sdr# have write the eeprom on some wrong address. You can help me? can i have the original dump of the eeprom and the correct tool to rewrite it on the dongle? Thanks.
For the V4 to work correctly the product name must be “Blog V4”, and the manufacturer name must be “RTLSDRBlog”. Please don’t change these two strings as the driver can only differentiate between the V4 and V3 by using these strings.
Try to restore with program RTLTool Distribution https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MIOjdV0vnSvmCBn5qlRSnKaORxCTRwgD/view?pli=1
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that there is a small typo in the last paragraph of the Spot RTL-SDR Blog V3 Clones section of the Store page. The word “reputable” is written as “repurable”.
hello! i followed the directions as best as i could. i cant get it to work. sdrsharp wont see the dongle. always says no device detected. all of the instructions are outdated. its now 1919 not 1913. did the whole zadig driver on bulk data 1 not zero etc still no joy. any suggestions?
Hello, since when has this been like this? This is suddenly the same for me under Windows 11 32H22, the 2832U driver is simply no longer installed and is rejected by Windows! Just like that. Also no help from RTL-SDR.Com can be seen. A pity. I have both sticks, V3 and new, v4 and both no longer work. Zadeg claims with every installation >Driver successfully installed!<???
Just tested 1919 on a few Win11 PCs and it’s working normally as expected, and not seeing any spike in customer emails. Can you post a screenshot of your Zadig screen showing what is installed? And try running install-rtlsdr.bat again.
As already reported, Zadec always says driver is installed. However, SDRSharp says: No device found! Unfortunately I misclicked on the first WINDOWS 11 error message. Now they are no longer displayed. It said: “Driver does not meet the compatibility requirements and will therefore NOT be installed.”
There is also no driver in the device manager. So Zadec is “lying” here…!?
If I pull the stick out of the USB-A interface, the device manager reacts and rebuilds the display. Even when I plug the stick back in, it reacts exactly the same, but it doesn’t work without the driver. As I said, I had it working in build 22H2!?? So what could this be?
You have Zadig set to install libusb-win32, but you should leave it on the default WinUSB. Please use Zadig to install WinUSB instead.
Also I’m not sure why your drop down menu and Driver, USB ID and WCID boxes are all empty? Does it show like that on your screen?
Yes!😉
Can I ask why did you install on bulk interface 1 instead of 0? You definitely do not want to install on bulk interface 1, you want to install only on bulk interface 0 as per the instructions. If you installed to bulk interface 1 by mistake you may need to go into device manager to remove the drivers first because SDR# may then try to use interface 1 as the SDR, and interface 1 is the infrared endpoint, not the SDR.
How do I change serial number on rtl-sdr
Try program RtlTool https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MIOjdV0vnSvmCBn5qlRSnKaORxCTRwgD/view?pli=1
