The Airspy HF+ and HF+ Discovery are popular and affordable software defined radios that have a focus on excellent reception on the HF bands. Recently @lambdaprog, the creator of Airspy products has released updated firmware for the Airspy HF+ series of products. The announcement on X is shown below.

I had problems with one unit, somehow flash verify failed and device was stuck in programming mode showed up as com port. After consulting airspy support I was told that “Firmware updates are not for the end users. They are for support staff.”
After one of my club colleagues fiddled around we managed to flash it and bring it to life. So, no, I am not doing another update unless I purchase it from factory with firmware already programed
